Accessibility Statement

How this site is built to be usable, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us.

HomeAccessibility Statement

We want this site to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using a screen reader, keyboard navigation or magnification.

What we have done

  • Semantic headings and landmarks, so the page can be navigated by structure.
  • A skip link to the main content.
  • Text that reflows and remains readable when zoomed, and on small screens.
  • Colour contrast checked against WCAG 2.1 AA for body text and controls.
  • Visible keyboard focus, and forms with real labels.
  • Animation is reduced automatically when your device asks for reduced motion.

Standard

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. We test as we build rather than auditing once, and we do not claim the site is perfect.

Known limitations

  • Some diagrams convey information visually. Each has a text description nearby, but the drawings themselves are not fully conveyed to a screen reader.
  • The quote form is provided by a third-party plugin; we control its labels but not all of its internal markup.

Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
